Jay Dell Butler

On October 12th JT's grandfather passed away. Although very sad by the lost, the family is also happy because he will no longer be suffering. He was 89 years old and for most of his last decade of life he was suffering from Parkinson's. So although his lost is sad, he is now free from pain and reunited with his wife.

He was currently living with one of his daughters on the east coast, but spent most of his life in Driggs, Idaho. So the funeral services were all held in Driggs. It was such a great opportunity to get together as a family. Most of the Butler side was able to come and celebrate his life. I enjoyed the chance to meet my mother-in-laws family and to hear about his life because I was never able to meet him. JT and I are so grateful that we live so close.

Our adorable nephew Blake kept hugging Kennedy after the luncheon

The good part about the funeral being in Idaho, all of JT's family (except Paige who's serving her LDS mission in Las Vegas right now) came to Idaho to visit for the weekend! It was so great to have his parents and heath and lyndsay stay with us, and to spend time with Lacie and her family!
