New Home

After spending the summer in Utah we are back in Rexburg, and we are happy! Living in Utah we left all our furniture and other valuable belongings in our storage unit for the summer, so we are very happy to be in our new place with all our stuff.

It's fun to be back in Rexburg. Technically we haven't lived in Rexburg since we were engaged, since we moved to Saint Anthony right when we got married. It's nice not to have to plan our schedule around when we are in-town.

Since we are back in Rexburg JT has enjoyed his first week of his last semester at BYU-Idaho. It is a pretty relaxed semester for him, only 12 credits with 2 of the classes being CIT. He is also working at his same job for the BYU-Idaho IT department. This semester JT will also start applying for real jobs after graduation. I guess we shall see how that goes!

As for me, I am still unemployed but have applied for a few different positions and I'm still hopeful. But also very bored, our home is set up and decorated and I don't have much to do so hopefully I will get something soon. Speaking of our new home, here are some pictures!

The kitchen isn't quite as big as the kitchen we had in Saint Anthony so we had to get the storage unit and put it in our laundry room.
After using coin operated laundry this summer I'm SO EXCITED to have my own room to do laundry!
We love our big, spacious bedroom that has a green wall.
JT's little office space, in the corner of our bedroom.

The piano is in our living room, right by the entrance, I plan on having some pictures on canvas hanging around our wedding picture here but I have to wait for the canvas' to dry! It has been a week and they still aren't all the way dry to put the pictures on them yet (I accidentally used oil-based paint instead of acrylic).

Temporary Home

Earlier in August we found out that we had to leave our apartment in Provo by August 22nd. We also found out that our new apartment in Rexburg wouldn't be done until Sept. 10th for move in. This created a pretty serious dilemma. JT also didn't finish his internship until Sept. 6th so we needed to stay in Utah anyways.

We ended up with a great solution, staying with my Uncle Mike and his family in their house in Orem. After living 2.5 months in our small place in Provo, sleeping on an air mattress with a tiny kitchen, it feels good to be in a big house. Luckily, they have a guest bedroom with a California King-sized bed. It's heaven sleeping on that bed after months on an air mattress.

It was fun to spend 2 weeks at their place, hanging out with my little cousins, going to seven peaks and Thanksgiving point, playing games late at night, and other fun adventures. Here are a few pictures from our time with the Walker's, sorry most of them are poor quality from my cell phone.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens on Labor Day for the Luau:

There were guys performing with fire, super awesome. It was hard to get a clear picture, sorry!

Having Fun Babysitting:

Our last day in Utah, going to the Belgian waffle place in Salt Lake

And now that our summer in Utah is officially over, we excited to be back in Rexburg and to move in to our brand new apartment tomorrow!

iDonate

So the other day I decided I should change my hair style. Since my last semester of school I have been super lazy, and not doing my hair. Just let it do what it wants. Then on Wednesday we went to Provo Beach Resort and I was playing with my little cousin Xander on the big play toy thing, and I kept squeezing through spaces with my hair and it was driving me CRAZY!

So I did some research on pinterest and found some fun, cute styles so I just went for it! I was also excited that my hair was long enough to donate for people in need.
