So I Can Kiss You Any Time I Want...

Since I was a young 14-year-old girl I have loved the movie "Sweet Home Alabama", in my opinion it is one of the best chick flicks of all time, along with the "Notebook". It has two amazing actors, Ryan Gosling and Reese Witherspoon, and an amazing line, So I can kiss you any time I want.... Imagining marriage as a girl I thought, that is how you know you want to spend the rest of your life with someone.

One day on pinterest I stumbled upon some etsy crafters who make and sell signs with my favorite saying. I considered making it myself, but then considered that it wouldn't look nearly as good by my hands.

This quote also reminds me of all the stages our love has gone through, from being friends, to dating and falling in love, getting engaged, married, and now living happily married.

So naturally I had to put all this together in our home.

Started with a framed picture from our wedding.
Next was to make the pictures for the stages of our love, on canvas which took longer than expected since I accidentally used oil-based paint instead of acrylic.
Almost done! A couple weeks after I finished here I got the professionally made sign in the mail.

I love pinterest and all the home decor ideas I get that help us create a loving home.

Hiking in Montana

This weekend we went on an adventure, to Montana. As some might remember, last Thanksgiving we were in Bozeman, Montana with our friend Kyle and his family, and we decided to go back with friends this weekend.

We drove up Friday, went on one of the hardest hikes I have ever experienced, then drove back on Sunday morning to speak in church. What an adventure!

Beautiful view throughout the hike, it reminds me of home!
Approaching this part I got excited, thinking we were done because I was so exhausted. Nope. It was the half-way point!

FINALLY! The summit. The view was worth it.

During the hike I really struggled. I'm out of shape, don't have an inhaler for my asthma, and my hernia bugs me sometimes. So going all uphill the whole (almost) 3 miles was a struggle. Luckily I had my amazing husband who stayed behind with me to help me breath and take breaks. It's little things like this that make me so grateful for him. JT really is the one for me, no one else is more patient than he is with me. How did I get so lucky!?
After making it back down.

For some reason Kyle and Dylan decided it would be fun to dip their heads in the river...

On the drive home we had a surprise. SNOW. And lots of it! It was kind of terrifying and sad to see so much snow in October. It started probably a half hour after we left Kyle's parents place in Bozeman and stopped around Island Park. We are happy it didn't snow in Rexburg but it does worry me that there was so much snow this early in the season!

I hope everyone else had a great weekend!

Super Nerd

You know your husband is a nerd when he gets giddy looking at computer parts online. But seriously, for weeks he was looking at parts, looking at the best qualities, reviews, and great deals. He bought the case with the mother board while we were in Utah, on a great deal, and now he has been collecting the other parts to make a great computer.

It's funny though, when I spend our money it's on one of two things: home decor or clothes. But when JT spends our money, it's on computer parts.
