A First Thanksgiving

For Jonas's first Thanksgiving we had the blessing of visiting the Great State of Washington. For work JT had to take the whole week off, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy with family!

We were very nervous about driving 12+ hours in the possibly bad weather, with a 5-month old. So we left at about 4 in the morning so we could start the trip with Jonas sleeping. This was successful! The rest of the day I sat by him to entertain him and get him to sleep while dad drove.

The night before Thanksgiving we had our Pre-Thanksgiving as a family at Melting Pot. YUM. It was a little difficult to do with a 5-month old. But we survived.

Jonas got to spend some more time with his Grandparents (my parents) and his Great-Grandparents. He loves all of them! He was on his best behavior the whole week.

Jonas LOVES Grandpa. He acted perfect each time he was with my dad.

Jonas got to meet Leila! My cousin Chelsey had Leila on Mother's Day, so just a month before Jonas's due date. We were excited to meet each others little one's!

JT was super proud of his 140 while bowling.

Every Thanksgiving for as long as I can remember is spent with my dad's side of the family, at my Grandparents house. I was so excited to have the chance to spend it with family, again. We haven't had a Thanksgiving in Washington since we were engaged!

JT shaved his beard that weekend, since No Shave November was over. (Thank goodness :))

We had such a great time with family, and we are excited to spend time with the Dewey family for Christmas!
